NMHSwap: The Journey of Our Enterprise

NMHSwap is a social enterprise rooted in the idea that community and sustainability within fashion can go hand in hand. NMHSwap believes in the power of educating others about the harms and impacts of the fast fashion industry, as well as the collective action of making sustainable choices in order to combat these harmful industries.
Over the course of this semester, we have worked to live out our purpose of building connections and educating members of the community. This purpose is lived out through successful social aspects within our enterprise to reduce waste and extend the lifecycle of clothing with clothing swapping/repurchasing, as well as educational posts, articles, and blog posts.

Presented our enterprise to fellow Rhodes students and faculty
Information Session
This information session was an opportunity for students to learn more about NMHSwap and what we had to offer. We also gave students the option to subscribe to our website with an early-bird discount of $3. This gained us our first five subscribers!
Instagram Account
We've launched our Instagram account! With two posts already, our Instagram account has helped us spread information and advertise to a wider community. We are planning on posting more in the future with clothing bundles and products that are up for sale on our website. Stay tuned for more posts by following our Instagram!
Eco-Leader Newsletter
We've been working alongside the NMH Eco-leaders to publish an educational article in their newsletter! In this specific newsletter, we addressed where trendy pieces of clothing actually end up, and what we can do to combat fast fashion industries.
NMHSwap.com is a ($5) one-time subscription-based website that connects individuals on campus with a platform to list clothing for swap/ resale. Items on the website are listed with a size, a short description, and a way to get connected with the seller if interested!
Our NMHSwap informational dinner gained us our first 5 subscribers!

NMHSwap.com currently has several pieces of clothing available for purchase/swapping. You can also find our blog, educational articles, and a deeper look into NMHSwap and what we are accomplishing as an enterprise!
